With the new album Locked and Loaded set to come out Sept. 17, Eve to Adam guitarist Gaurav Bali recently spoke with Guitar World about how his band came together and working with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette.
In addition, Bali was asked about the EVH Wolfgangs he often plays.
“It just sounds and plays great. I actually began playing the 5150 III heads first. I loved the sound of them with my Fender Strat HSS Deluxe, but I kept watching videos of Eddie saying that the amps and guitars were really made to work together. When we played in Phoenix on the Creed tour, Erock [Creed guitarist] introduced me to Chris Cannella from EVH and we started to build a relationship,” he told the magazine.
“A few months later, I got a three-tone burst Wolfgang and absolutely fell in love with it because it had everything I needed, like the D-Tuna, etc. Earlier this year, I got a black hard tail to perform three of our new songs that are tuned to drop C. The thing never goes out of tune. All the EVH stuff sounds great for what I need to do and is extremely versatile.”
