YouTuber and U.K. axe ace Cameron Cooper recently got his hands on an EVH 5150III 50W 6L6 head for a video demo that showcases the amp’s versatile channels.
“The [EVH 5150III] is a wonderful amp,” said Cooper. “You’ve got channels one and two that share the same EQ, then channel three which is an absolute mega beast.”
Cooper ran through all three channels, including cranking up channel three’s “high” knob.
“Listen to this for a hiss… that’s the sound of metal, that is!” said Cooper with a big smile
Cooper also played through a couple jams on the “crunch” channel 2, from bluesy-southern rock inspired riffs to classic heavy metal solos.
